  • Packers, Dolphins to play on Thanksgiving night
The Dolphins will host the Packers on Thanksgiving night.

Advice: The league appears very much willing to feature Jordan Love as a main attraction in 2024 after his outstanding 2023 campaign in which Love established himself as the latest in a line of long-term Green Bay QBs. The Packers will open the season against the Eagles in Brazil. Love and the Packers will take on Tua Tagovailoa in a primetime matchup on Thanksgiving night — a game that will feature plenty of offensive firepower on both sides. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:29 am

  • Jaguars to face new-look Pats, Bears in London
The Jaguars will play the Patriots in London on October 20.

Advice: Jacksonville once again gets two London games, this time against a new-look Patriots team presumably led by third overall pick Drake Maye and the Bears and their new franchise QB Caleb Williams. The Jags, with a strong contingent of fans in the United Kingdom, are 6-5 all time in London games. The other London game in 2024 will be the Jets against the Vikings on October 6. It will mark Aaron Rodgers’ second London game. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:05 am

  • Let go by Washington
The Commanders cut Fromm on Tuesday.

Advice: Fromm spent the entire 2023 season on Washington's practice squad. The 2020 fifth-round pick's only career snaps in an NFL regular-season game came in 2021 with the Giants. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:00 am

  • Jets to open season on MNF for 2nd straight year
The Jets will play the 49ers in Week 1 on Monday Night Football.

Advice: It will be the Jets’ second straight Monday night season opener. Last year’s Week 1 was a waking nightmare for New York as Aaron Rodgers ruptured his Achilles four snaps into the game and missed the rest of the season despite constant talk of an early return from injury. Rodgers and the Jets will take on a stingy Niners defense graded by PFF as 2023’s third best pass rushing unit and second best coverage unit. It will be a tough test for Rodgers, 40, and the Jets offense to start 2024. The game will be something of a homecoming for Jets head coach Robert Saleh, who served as the 49ers defensive coordinator for four years. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:58 am

  • Joining Cleveland
The Browns signed Sirmon to a contract Sunday.

Advice: Sirmon will ink a deal with Cleveland after participating in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The 6-foot-4 signal-caller appeared in eight games this past season for Northern Colorado, logging 1,255 yards and eight touchdowns to nine interceptions while completing 56.4 percent of passes. Sirmon started his collegiate career at Washington before transferring to Central Michigan. He'll add depth behind quarterbacks Deshaun Watson (shoulder), Jameis Winston, Tyler Huntley and Dorian Thompson-Robinson (hip) during the Browns' offseason program. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:19 am

  • Added to San Francisco's roster
Mordecai has agreed to terms on a contract with the 49ers.

Advice: Mordecai was a backup at Oklahoma to commence his collegiate career before transferring to SMU and recording 7,152 yards through the air, 72 touchdowns and 22 interceptions across two seasons. He subsequently played one final season with the Badgers in Wisconsin, where he recorded 2,065 passing yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions. With plenty of experience under center, he will now look to prove himself as an NFL caliber quarterback in San Francisco. He will presumably compete with Brandon Allen for the No. 3 role under center behind Brock Purdy and Joshua Dobbs. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:01 am

  • ‘Fully expected’ Darnold begins offseason as No. 1
ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports it’s “fully expected” Sam Darnold will begin the Vikings’ offseason program as the No. 1 quarterback over first-round pick J.J. McCarthy.

Advice: In other words, the Vikings are taking the traditional approach of making McCarthy “earn it.” This is a situation where it is not entirely outside the realm of possibility that veteran Darnold actually makes an early-season start or two if McCarthy isn’t ready, but the competition will undoubtedly be rigged in the rookie’s favor. The Colts signed Bean as an undrafted free agent Thursday.

Advice: Bean finished his college career at Kansas, passing for 2,130 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a senior while adding 280 rushing yards and three scores on 47 carries. He's one of two QBs signed as an undrafted free agent by the Colts following the NFL Draft, joining Kedon Slovis of BYU. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:44 pm

  • Signs deal with Bucs
Tampa Bay signed Annexstad as an undrafted free agent Friday.

Advice: Annexstad began his college career with Minnesota before transferring to Illinois State, with whom he compiled 3,547 passing yards and 27 touchdowns with 12 interceptions over two seasons. He's one of four quarterbacks on the Buccaneers' 90-man roster, joining Baker Mayfield, Kyle Trask and John Wolford. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:08 pm
